Welcome to the Lafayette Orchid Society.

We are a group of about 50 orchid enthusiasts centered in Lafayette Indiana. Lafayette is the county seat of Tippecanoe County, located in northwest central Indiana. Most of our members live within an hour’s drive of Lafayette, but we also have a few members who live in other states or U.S. territories.

The goals of the Society are mainly educational, for our members and for others. We promote information and activities concerning orchids through our meetings, newsletter, activities, and participation in orchid shows and other events. We maintain a library of information that our members can access, and we support efforts aimed at orchid conservation around the world.

Members of the LOS meet bi-monthly, on the 3rd Wednesday of odd numbered months.

This web site is organized to provide users with easy access to all the information that is available about the LOS. The primary pages are accessed by clicking on the colored bars above. Everything else is accessible intuitively, and no further instructions are needed to get the most out of this web site.
